Northern European Hair On Leather Hides average
55 square feet with a range of 48 – 60 square
feet. They have a medium length hair due
to the colder environment they grow up in. The
printed leather i.e. Zebra, Giraffe, Tiger and
others have a short hair length so they can be
properly processed to accept the various prints.
These hides have a special process that gives
them a very soft touch and a sheen to the hair.
All the hides are tanned in Italy and are
shipped directly from the tannery to you.
Of course, because leather is a unique and
natural material there can be defects due to
insect bites or scratch marks due to rubbing
against trees. These small scars and scratches
that are always present on an animals skin must
not be considered defects but a quality of the
leather itself. |
